The Aberdares is home to Kenya’s highest waterfalls, Karuru waterfalls which is the largest in Kenya, Chania and Gura waterfalls. It also offers exceptional hiking and walking terrain, stunning views, and big game.

Day 1 Nairobi-Aberdares
We leave Nairobi, pass through the Central to Nyeri and arrive at 1300hrs for lunch. We then tour on foot the provincial headquarters, and have a visit to the local pubs. (Optional).
Dinner and overnight will be in a hotel
Day 2 Aberdares
On this day we will drive North to Mweiga Park gate headquarters to pick a ranger and then up forested eastern slopes of the Aberdare ranges. We will be hiking and walking through high moorlands through thickets of St. John’s Wort and Rosewood Glades then Chania falls after which we shall enjoy a picnic Lunch. Dinner and overnight will be in a selected campsite.
Day 3 Aberdares
We aim to start the hiking and walking at 7am to finish at 2pm. We walk via the Spectacular Chania Falls to Wandere and through various options with picnic lunch. Over 40 species of wildlife inhabit these mountain ranges, hiding in the heavily forested slopes and in the upper moor lands. The Aberdares is also known as a rhino sanctuary but keep an eye out for the elusive rare bongo, which is best spotted in the upper bamboo zone and hypericum scrub. Dinner and overnight at a campsite
Day 4 Aberdares – Mweiga
After an early breakfast we continue hiking and walking upwards through various options to Satima Summit, we then follow Wandare’s Track and settle for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Aberdares-Nairobi
After breakfast, we proceed by vehicle towards to Mweiga Park headquarters and drop the rangers and our journey heads back to Nairobi.
